<strong>Downtown Live!</strong>

The Downtown Live! series and Downtown Market free event is today at Heritage Plaza, at the corner of Green and Methvin streets in Longview. The market opens at 4 p.m., and the concert series is from 5 to 7 p.m..

<strong>Genealogy lock-in</strong>

The Longview Public Library has scheduled a genealogy lock-in from 6 p.m. to midnight today.

The library computers will be available for free access to the Footnote database of military records, Dawes Rolls as well as the Newsbank Historical Newspapers database with complete newspapers dating to the 1600s. For information, contact Linda Laminack at (903) 237-1359.

<strong>'Nelson Remembered'</strong>

Rick Nelson's twin sons, Matthew and Gunnar, are to perform many of Nelson's hits in their show "Ricky Nelson Remembers" at 7:30 p.m. today at the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 Mobberly Ave.

<strong>Gladewater Opry</strong>

GLADEWATER - The Gladewater Saturday Night Opry, 108 E. Commerce St., has several entertainers scheduled for Saturday's 8 p.m. show.

Entertainers include Ernie Cox, Sera Allen, Jessie Lee, Tom Brown, Cathy Windham, Jana Bertrand, Tori Boaze, Raymond Welborn, Jessie Larae.

<strong>Country Music Hayride</strong>

CARTHAGE - The Country Music Hayride presents Gospel at the Hayride at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Esquire Theater, 116 W. Sabine. Scheduled to appear are Tom Ridgeway, Jan Almand, Richard Almand, David Lanicek, Terry Phillips, Charlie Head, Chip Stouble, Mike Bostick, Gene dickson, Letretha Yount and Troy Dean Kees.

Admission is $6.

<strong>Spring Easter dance</strong>

A spring Easter dance is 7 to 9:30 p.m. Staurday at the Green Street Recreation Center, 814 S. Green St., Longview. Dancers are requested to wear their Easter outfits and hats. There will be a contest for the best Easter hat.

<strong>Liberty Hall</strong>

TYLER - A cappella singing groups The Swingle Singers and Clearly Vocal will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Hall, 103 E. Erwin St.

<strong>Easter parade</strong>

JEFFERSON - The Opera House Theatre Players have scheduled the Easter Parade for 2 p.m. April 7 at the corner of Austin and Market streets. The parade ends in front of the Excelsior Housey. Tea with the Queen follows in Perry Park adjacent to the hotel. Entry fee for the parade is $12 per adult or $15 per couple and $5 for children.

<strong>LMFA Bunny Brunch</strong>

The Longview Museum of Fine Arts' Bunny Brunch is 10 a.m. April 7. A brunch will be followed by an Easter egg bag decorating art activity. An egg hunt is set afterward in the J.T. Smith Sculpture Garden.

<strong>ArtsView auditions</strong>

Auditions for the June production of "Booby Trap" is from 4 to 8:30 p.m. April 14 at ArtsView Children's Theatre, Characters are for ages 13 to 18.

The play is about an American soldier who sits in a combat zone trapped by a land mine. If he moves, his life will be over. As he awaits his future, scenes from his life unfold around him, and he ponders the choices he has made.

<strong>Dalton Days</strong>

The Gregg County Historical Museum's Dalton Days celebration is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m April 14 at the Longview Fairgrounds.

Re-enactors will stage shootout that happened in downtown Longview in 1894 after the outlaw Bill Dalton and three gang members robbed the First National Bank.

The event also includes children's activities in conjunction with the Longview World of Wonders, pony rides, bounce houses and a petting zoo.

A Cowboy Mounted Shooting competition and a shotgun wedding will also be featured.

<strong>'Wonder Bread Years'</strong>

The comedy production of "The Wonder Bread Years" will be at 7:30 p.m. April 14 in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave.

The production is designed as part stand-up comedy and part theater as it seeks to honor the experiences of the baby boomer generation's formative years. The blend of comedy and nostalgia is hosted by Pat Hazell, an original "Seinfeld" writer and "Tonight Show" veteran, with performances by John McGivern and David Mann.

<strong>Jefferson Ghost Walk</strong>

JEFFERSON - The Historic Jefferson Ghost walk will hold the annual Spring History Haunts and Legends event April 14 in downtown Jefferson.

Daytime activities are from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Visitors Center at 305 E Austin St. The nighttime tours and events will start at 8 p.m. with the Ghost walk tour.

SHREVEPORT - Shreveport's Metropolitan Ballet's production of "Cinderella" is 3 p.m. April 15 at the Riverview Theater, 600 Clyde Fant Parkway.

A Cinderella Princess Tea is set at 12:45 p.m. before the play at Riverview Hall. Costumed characters will arrive at 12:45 p.m. for photographs and autographs, and lunch will be served at 1:15 p.m. Tickets for the tea are $15 for adults and $10 children.

<strong>Derrick Stars</strong>

KILGORE - The free Derrick Stars concert with Shake, Rattle & Roll is set for 7 p.m. April 19 at the Winter Elder Stage beneath the derricks on Commerce Street downtown. Attendees are encourage to bring lawn chairs and refreshments.

<strong>Nitty Gritty Dirt Band</strong>

ATHENS - The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will perform at 7 p.m. April 19 at the Henderson County Regional Fairpark Complex on Texas 31 East. It is sponsored by the East Texas Arboretum and Botanical Society.

<strong>Willie Nelson</strong>

LUFKIN - Tickets are on sale for the Willie Nelson concert at 7:30 p.m. April 19 at the Angelina County Expo Center in Lufkin. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

<strong>Street fair</strong>

EDOM - An old-fashioned street fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 21 and 22 at the intersection of FM 314 and 279 in Edom.

Included are arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, a pet parade and children's activities. A Classic Car show and street dance are April 21.
