Pine Tree High has hired Lance Standley as its new head baseball coach, athletic director Derek Fitzhenry confirmed Tuesday afternoon.
Standley arrives at Pine Tree after coaching Class 3A Lake Worth to a 14-15 record in 2012. The Bullfrogs placed fifth in the six-team District 7-3A.
Standley replaces Gus Harmon, who led Pine Tree to a 20-12-1 record this season and the Pirates' first playoff round victory since 2002.
