Longview man dies after struck by vehicle

A pedestrian who was struck and seriously injured Wednesday night while walking on a Longview street died Friday evening, according to Longview police spokeswoman Kristie Brian.
Brian said Lynden Bell, 24, had received life-threatening injuries and was being treated at a Longview hospital before he died Friday.
Police say the driver of the vehicle who struck and killed Bell in the 1900 block of Lee Street in Longview was intoxicated.
Sarah E. Reeves, 34, of Longview was charged with driving while intoxicated in connection with the incident in the Pine Tree neighborhood, according to Brian. As of 6 p.m. Friday those charges had not been upgraded after officers learned the victim died.
According to Gregg County judicial records, Reeves was booked in and released Wednesday from the Gregg County Jail.
