Pat-N-Pigy's Belle Pepper Café in Longview offers a taste of home away from home.
The Café, owned by Pat Blocker- former owner of Pat's Diner- offers an extensive selection of fresh, home-cooked meals at a reasonable price.
"We offer home-style cooking," Blocker said. " The food is fixed just like I would fix it at home."
Chicken and dumplings, southern fried chicken, salads and desserts can be found on the menu. All items are cooked in-house by Blocker and her staff.
The Café offers specials each day ranging in price from $6.99 to $7.49 and include a meat and two vegetables.
Blocker and her staff also bake a variety of pies and cakes each day.
The Café opened six months ago and has already built a loyal clientele which Blocker said is because the food can't be found anywhere else in town.
The casual, friendly atmosphere also makes everyone feel as if they are at home, Blocker said.
"We're like one big family," she said.
They are so much like family that Blocker named the restaurant for herself and a loyal waitress, Pigy.
"She's been with me since I was at Pat's Diner. Many others have too."
The Café also serves breakfast.
