Hallsville ISD sets hearing on state ranking

The Hallsville ISD Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on the district's Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas ranking of "superior" ahead of it's regular board meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the administration building.
The Texas Education Agency administers FIRST in an effort "to ensure that school districts and open-enrollment charter schools are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices and achieve improved performance in the management of their financial resources."
According to information available on the TEA website, www.tea.state.tx.us, HISD scored a perfect 70 out of 70 available points.

<ul> <li>A financial report for Sept. 2012.</li> <li>Budget amendments.</li> <li>2007 bond expenditures.</li> <li>Authorization of construction payment.</li> <li>Consideration of personnel recommendations.</li> <li>Consideration of a band request for an overnight, out-of-state field trip.</li> <li>Consideration of a request for additional capital improvements from unspent bond funds.</li> </ul>
