No. 9 Longview Lobos upset by Coppell, 41-8; Caraway injured

DALLAS -- The Coppell Cowboys handed the Longview Lobos a 41-8 season-opening loss tonight.
In addition, the No. 9 Lobos lost starting quarterback Bivins Caraway after the first half. Coach John King said after the game only that it was a leg injury. Caraway had limped from the field after being sacked twice in the first half.
"We'll get him checked out tomorrow," King said.
The first half ended with the Lobos down 21-0. <span class="userContent">Caraway was 3 of 10 for 29 yards, an interception and two lost fumbles. Stephon Dunn took over at QB in the second half.</span>
