Big Sandy "Peak Performance" Youth Season Started Saturday

The Big Sandy "Peak Performance" Youth Football Season got underway Saturday.

The day started with the "Gold" team defeating the "Blue" team in Pee Wee Flag Football followed by the 5th and 6th grade team losing in overtime to the Sabine Cardinals. The "Pride" team beat the "White" team in another Pee Wee Flag game. The Big Sandy 3rd and 4th grade flag team traveled to Spring Hill. The "Peak Performance" Wildcats jumped out to nearly leading scoring on the first two times they touched the ball only to lose a heart breaker in the end.

All the "Peak Performance" teams will be in action at home this weekend at the Big Sandy High School Field. There will be flag football for the K-2nd grades at 1 and 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22. There will be flag football for the 3rd and 4th grade teams at 4 p.m. The 5th and 6th graders will have a tackle game at 11 a.m. at the Big Sandy Field and will play against the Pine Tree Pirates.
