Three seats on the Kilgore College board of trustees are up for re-election this spring, and two outside candidates and two incumbents have filed for a spot.

Marion Turner has filed for the Central Zone, which represents Kilgore ISD. He joins Brian Nutt, pastor at Grace Fellowship of Kilgore, who also has filed for the seat.

The Central Zone seat is held by R.E. "Sonny" Spradlin, who has not decided whether to seek re-election.

Other board members whose terms expire in May are Joe Carrington in the North Zone and Robert D. Heath in the South Zone. Both have filed for re-election.

Filing remains open through Friday for the May 11 election.

Candidates can file in the assistant to the president's office or the Office of Institutional Planning in the McLaurin Administration Building on campus.
