Gregg County commissioners are scheduled to approve the required bonds for elected officials Monday during a 9 a.m. meeting.
Surety bonds are set for office holders to add a financial element to assurances they will perform the duties of the office. It is a routine requirement much like taking the oath of office.
Commissioners also are set to appoint John Morgan to the Gregg County Emergency Services District. The district in southern Gregg County collects a tax rate to pay for first-response emergency services.
