Marshall teen dies after car hits fence, house

A Marshall teenage died Sunday from injuries he suffered in a wreck Saturday in Harrison County, according to a spokesman for the Department of Public Safety.

Christopher C. Willis, 18, was a passenger in a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Delton Lane, 27.

DPS Troopers said Lane's car, traveling north on FM 1997, left the road, hitting a fence and a house.

Willis was pronounced dead Sunday by Gregg County Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Arthur Fort at Good Shepherd Medical Center.

Lane, also of Marshall, remains hospitalized in critical condition.
