Police: Longview pair busted attempting to cash stolen checks

A Longview pair police say were involved in a forgery at a convenience store were held Tuesday in the Gregg County Jail.
Police were dispatched to the Scotties Shell Station in the 400 block of Hawkins Parkway on Monday where Therion Nalls, 40, was trying to cash a check that had been stolen from Sherwin-Williams Paint Store, according to police reports.
Officers said they discovered Shuntilla Richardson, 32, who had driven Nalls to the store, had stolen credit cards and checks in her purse from the paint store.
Nalls was held Tuesday in the Gregg County Jail on $2,500 bond on a charge of forgery of a financial instrument.
Richardson was held Tuesday in the Gregg County Jail on bonds totaling $174,000. Her charges include two counts of credit/debit card abuse and forgery of a financial instrument.
