Longview police arrested a woman about 1:30 a.m. Friday after they said she was found asleep in her car at McWhorter Park with marijuana on her lap.
Kristina Ronniesha Gentry, 26, of Longview was arrested under suspicion of possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana and felony possession of a dangerous drug, according to Gregg County judicial records.
Police said they approached Gentry's vehicle as it was parked after hours at the city park off Loop 281 and Gilmer Road.
City parks close at 11 p.m., per city ordinances.
"I observed a rolled marijuana cigar on the dash in the driver's side in plain view. I also observed a green leafy substance in the above listed suspects lap. I then observed what I believed to be a large bud of dried marijuana in an open storage compartment between the driver's door and the steering wheel," wrote officer Travis Prew in the probable cause affidavit for Gentry's arrest.
After Gentry was taken into custody, police located a pill bottle with three un-labeled prescriptions mixed together, according to the affidavit.
Gentry was held Friday in the Gregg County Jail on bonds totaling $2,000.
