Court date set for Kilgore pair accused of sexual assault of a child

A trial date has been set for a Kilgore man and woman being held in the Gregg County Jail on multiple charges alleging sexual assault of a child younger than 6.
Court records show Jesse Dale Smith, 33, and Cassandra Stone, 32, were indicted in December.
Smith was indicted on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child and possession of child pornography.
Stone was indicted on a charge of aggravated sexual assault.
Smith has been held in the Gregg County Jail since September on bonds and fines totaling $160,220.
Jail records show he is charged with possession and promotion of child pornography, aggravated sexual assault of a child, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Stone has been held in the Gregg County Jail since Nov. 20 on $250,000 bond on the charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Smith and Stone are scheduled to appear before Judge David Brabham at 9 a.m. Monday in 188th District Court.
