Longview vs. Lufkin: by the numbers

Staff writer Hayden Henry takes a by-the-numbers look at Longview's 55-30 win over Lufkin on Friday.


Yards per carry for junior JaMycal Hasty. Through four games, Hasty has 713yards and six touchdowns. His 68-yard touchdown against Lufkin was the longest of the season.


Most points scored between the two teams in 74 meetings dating back to 1932. Longview's 55 points is the second highest in the showdowns, second to a 62-0 shutout in 1958. The Lobos' win ties the series at 35-35-4 overall.


Time on Lufkin's opening drive of the contest, covering 71 yards on 18 plays, resulting in a 31-yard field goal.


Yards per completion for Lobo quarterback Dezmond Chumley. The junior has 672 yards and seven passing touchdowns on the season.


Yards per catch for Lufkin's KeKe Coutee in the loss, including a pair of touchdown catches. The Texas commit has 449 yards on 32 catches and five touchdowns on the season.
