ET Baseball: Hallsville trounces Pine Tree, more

<strong>HALLSVILLE 15, PINE TREE 5, 6 INNINGS:</strong> Five Bobcats finished with at least two RBIs as Hallsville rolled past Pine Tree, 15-5, in six innings in the first meeting of the two teams in District 14-4A action.

Coby Weaver complimented a six-inning, nine strikeout night on the mound with a 2-for-3, three-RBI night at the plate for Hallsville.

Jacob Walker, Connor Reich, Logan Bailey and Colton Oberthier eached had two RBIs for Hallsville.

Blake Adams finished 3-for-3 at the plate for the Pirates. Mason Hays added a 2-for-3 night at the plate for Pine Tree.

Pine Tree led 2-1 after two innings before Hallsville put up seven runs in the third frame.

<strong>KILGORE 6, CHAPEL HILL 5:</strong> KILGORE - Patrick Villanueva finished with three RBIs, including the game winner as Kilgore battled past Chapel Hill, 6-5, in extra innings in 16-3A action at Driller Park.

Michael Hampton struck out 11 and walked one in seven innings of work for Kilgore, outdueling Chapel Hill's Pat Day, who finished with seven strikeouts and five walks.

Braden Nelson plated a run on a triple and Jake Brantley added an RBI double for Kilgore, who improves to 7-7-1 on the year and 3-1 in district action.

Kilgore led 3-1 after five innings before Chapel Hill knotted the contest with a two-run sixth inning. Chapel Hill scored two in the top of the eighth inning before Villanueva gave Kilgore the walk-off win.

<strong>CARTHAGE 11, HUDSON 6:</strong> CARTHAGE - Kolby Blissett doubled, singled twice and drove in four runs for the Bulldogs, and Carthage used an eight-run fifth inning to grab control on Friday in an 11-6 District 20-3A win over Hudson.

Tee Goree added three hits in three trips to the plate, driving in two runs. Jarod Blissett added a double, single and two RBIs, and Blake Bogenschutz, Micah Templeton, William Rittenberry, Jack Morris and Tyler Musgrove all added hits.

Bogenschutz, Templeton and Morris all drove in runs.

Cole Clinton (3-1) earned the pitching win in relief.

<strong>SABINE 5, ARP 1:</strong> ARP - Andrew Stuckey held Arp to two hits and added two of his own at the plate, lifting Sabine to a 5-1 win over Arp.

Stuckey struck out three, scattered two hits and allowed no earned runs in the win. He finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and a triple for the Cardinals at the plate.

Brennan Watkins added an RBI for Sabine.

<strong>ELYSIAN FIELDS 4, TATUM 3:</strong> ELYSIAN FIELDS - Tristan Moore tossed an inning of hitless relief to lift Elysian Fields to a 4-3 win over Tatum in 17-2A action.

Haden Simmons allowed three runs on three hits for Elysian Fields before Moore put up an inning and a third of hitless work for Elysian Fields.

Sam Toon shouldered the loss for Tatum, striking out eight and allowing three runs on three hits.

Simmons also added an RBI for Elysian Fields.

Kendrick Boyd finished 2-for-3 with an RBI for Tatum.

<strong>WHITE OAK 11, JEFFERSON 5:</strong> JEFFERSON - Eric Wilkinson picked up the win off the mound and helped his own cause with a 2-for-3 night at the plate to push White Oak to 6-0 in District 17-2A action.

Tied 1-1 after three innings of play, the Roughnecks built a 9-1 lead before Jefferson plated four in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Gabe Michael finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Josh White added an RBI for the Roughnecks.

PJ Laster doubled and finished 2-for-3 in the loss for Jefferson, who falls to 4-2 in district action.

<strong>ORE CITY 7, WASKOM 0:</strong> WASKOM - Steven Lewis went the distance on the mound, striking out 16 and allowing two hits as Ore City rolled past Waskom, 7-0.

Lewis walked one in the outing and finished 2-for-3 at the plate.

Tyler Pendarvis led the rebels with three hits, scoring twice in the win. Dillon Jordan added a pair of RBIs for Ore City.

<strong>HUGHES SPRINGS 9, REDWATER 1:</strong> HUGHES SPRINGS - Dylan Moore continued his dominance on the mound, lifting Hughes Springs to a 9-1 win over Redwater.

Hayden Smith added an RBI triple, Chad McKinney added an RBI double and Colton Crawley added a two-run single for Hughes Springs, who improves to 13-0 on the season and 4-0 in district action.

<strong>NEW BOSTON 13, LINDEN-KILDARE 2:</strong> LINDEN - Wes Teague collected three hits and drove in a run, and New Boston took advantage of nine Linden-Kildare errors to hand the Tigers a 13-2 setback in District 16-2A play.

Philip Sissons added a triple and a single, and Micah Thomas, Jordan Simpson and Dylan Martin all drove in runs for New Boston, which moved to 2-2 in district play.

Jordan Spaniol doubled and singled, and Blake Burns and Reid Bynum had singles for Linden-Kildare (2-2).

Dylan Martin struck out five and earned the pitching win. Blake Burns fanned one and walked three to shoulder the loss.

<strong>HARLETON 12, BECKVILLE 6:</strong> HARLETON - Matt Bullock and Jacob Earle belted in three runs each as Harleton rollen past Beckville, 12-6.

Freshman Will Davis picked up the win off the bump for Harleton, who improves to 4-1 in District 20-A action.

Taylor Henson finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Harleton, who led 10-1 after three innings.
