Two Camp County men are in custody after fleeing from Pittsburg police officers responding to a shots fired call Tuesday.

Donald West, 32, and Trazell Palmer, 31, are in Camp County jail on felony evading arrest charges, as well as numerous outstanding warrants on each. West also faces felony marijuana possession charges.

At around 1 p.m. Tuesday, law enforcement responded to a report of shots being fired in the 500 block of West Street.

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle leaving the scene, and a brief pursuit ensued.

Upon stopping the vehicle, both suspects fled. Palmer was captured after a short chase on foot, with West taken into custody later that afternoon.

Officials are still investigating the shooting, and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Pittsburg Police Department at (903) 856-3330.
