ET Baseball Roundup: Heath hammers Longview, more

HEATH 10, LONGVIEW 0: ROCKWALL — Rockwall opened with a five-run first, added five in the third and cruised to a 10-0 win over the Longview Lobos in District 11-6A play.

The Lobos managed two hits in the contest, singles by Thomas Cox and Cody Haggerty.

Four Lobos saw action on the mound, with Matthew Boles taking the loss.

SPRING HILL 2, CHAPEL HILL 1: NEW CHAPEL HILL — Jared Blake worked eight strong innings on the hill for the win, Braedon Sims pitched the ninth for a save and the Spring Hill Panthers rallied for a 2-1 win over Chapel Hill in District 15-4A play.

Blake struck out four, walked two and allowed one earned run on six hits. Sims pitched a perfect ninth.

At the plate, Blake tripled, Caden Noah doubled and drove in a run and Cade Medlin chipped in with an RBI. Jacob Moore added two hits from the top of the order for the Panthers.

BULLARD 5, GLADEWATER 3: GLADEWATER — Colton Bowman combined with two relievers on a one-hitter, leading the Bullard Panthers to a 5-3 win over the Gladewater Bears.

Bowman fanned eight and walked three in five innings.

Collin Keller had the lone Gladewater hit. Levi Ellis drove in two runs, and Daniel Robertson chipped in with an RBI.

HENDERSON 1, CENTER 0: CENTER — Kaine Campbell tossed a one-hit shutout at Center, and Lanson Simmons had a big day at the plate from the leadoff spot for the Lions as Henderson edged Center, 1-0.

Campbell struck out six with no walks, giving up a single to Jaxon Covington. He threw 50 of his 82 pitches for strikes.

Simmons had two hits and drove in the lone run of the game. Levi McGee also doubled for the Lions.

HUGHES SPRINGS 6, HOOKS 4: HOOKS — Bo McEntire banged out four hits, Harrison Reagan drove in two runs and the Hughes Springs Mustangs rallied for a 6-4 win over Hooks.

McEntire doubled for the Mustangs, and Triston Hickey, Garrett Golden and Shawn Pope all added two hits. Riley McKinney and Brady McEntire drove in runs.

Riley McKinney struck out six and walked two for the pitching win. He gave up two earned runs on nine hits. Brady McEntire pitched the final 1/3 of an inning.

CARLISLE 11, HAWKINS 6: HAWKINS — The Carlisle Indians spotted Hawkins a 6-0 lead before erupting for 10 runs in the sixth and adding a run in the seventh for an 11-6 victory.

Trent Staneart had two hits, both doubles, and Walker Adams drove in two runs for the Indians. Michael Lambeth, Quint Eikner and Tanner Martin all drove in runs.

Blake Horn earned the pitching win. He struck out six and waked two, giving up one earned run in six innings. Eikner fanned three with one walk in his inning of work.
