Kilgore ISD plans state championship celebration today

The Kilgore boys soccer team celebrates after their state title win.

Kilgore ISD has set a state championship celebration and parade Monday, April 24, to honor Kilgore High School's soccer team.

The parade is set to begin about 5 p.m. and head from the Kilgore Post Office down Kilgore Street to Main Street. The parade then will turn left on Main and go down to Martin Street by St. Luke United Methodist Church.

The parade then will turn left on Martin Street and go north to East Lantrip Street, turning left a final time and finishing at the post office.

A pep rally at Kilgore High School outside at the new gym next to the tennis courts will follow the parade.

Soccer team members also will be recognized during the school board meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the Kilgore High School cafeteria.
