A Hallsville man was seriously injured Thursday after police said he was rescued from a burning vehicle.

William Click, 20, was driving south about 7 a.m. Thursday on FM 450 in Hallsville when he drove off the road and hit a triplex residence, police said.

Hallsville police Chief Wesley Freeman said Click was unresponsive and trapped inside his burning vehicle. Officers were able to remove him.

Click was taken to a Longview medical center and later airlifted to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.

Freeman said it appears Click drove through a 90-degree turn in the road and added that Click's family said the wreck may have been a result of his medical condition.
