A Longview woman remained in jail Monday morning after police said she injured a police officer during her arrest.
Officers responded to a call for service at 428 S. Fredonia Street early Saturday and located the suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Jasmine Fluellen, inside a vacant apartment. According to a probable cause affidavit, Fluellen tried walking away from officers and ignored their commands, and when officers made contact Fluellen tried to punch an officer and later bit an officer on the leg as she was being handcuffed.
Fluellen was arrested by Longview police and booked into jail at 6:40 a.m. Saturday. She is being held on $40,000 bond at the Gregg County Jail.
