Seven people were taken to the hospital after a wreck this weekend in Rusk County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Two vehicles collided about 3:50 p.m. Saturday on Texas when a Jeep SVU driven by a juvenile swerved into oncoming traffic and hit a Nissan SUV driven by Floryan Mandoljano, 30.

"For an unknown reason, the driver of the Jeep swerved into the opposite lane, causing Mandoljano to take evasive action to the right but the vehicles collided," according to DPS. "The Nissan was spun counter-clockwise and began to roll to its right, coming to rest on the shoulder of the roadway. The Jeep spun counter-clockwise and came to rest in the southbound lane facing west."

Mandoljano and passenger Alfredo Guel, 42, as well as four children from the Jeep were transported to East Texas Medical Center in Henderson. The Jeep's driver and one other juvenile passenger were transported to ETMC-Tyler.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and names of the juveniles involved were not released.
