Historic Longview Farmers Market plans holiday event

The Historic Longview Farmers Market will feature a special Holiday Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 9.
The market, at the corner of Cotton and High streets, will feature a variety of vendors, including Flower Hill Farm, Comeback Creek, Greer Farm, Cace's Kitchen, Pace Farm, Essentially Naked, Chillum's, Designs in Wood, My Hang-Ups, Roscoe's Peanut Brittle, 24 Carrots, Miss Baker's and Little Hati.
They will bring fall and winter vegetables; fresh wreaths, greenery and flowers; farm jams, honey and relishes; Pace's pepper jellies; cane syrup; decorated gourds; handmade gifts and crafts; unique wood bowls, boards, rolling pins, crosses and gifts; wood pallet trees, stars and decor made of wine corks; baked goods including gluten-free; naan bread; take-home prepared foods, including Asian-style and Creole gumbo and etoufee; vegan prepared foods; peanut brittle; fudge; natural soaps, candles, insect repellant and more.
Then, on Dec. 10, the market will have a planning meeting at 2 p.m. to discuss its 2018 season. Area farmers, bakers, chefs, restaurateurs, craftsmen, musicians and more are invited to attend to help discuss the upcoming season.
The planning meeting will be in the Moeschle Room at the Longview Public Library, 222 W. Cotton St.
