2 people injured in Longview train-truck collision

Two people were injured early Friday in a crash involving a pickup and a Union Pacific train in Longview.
Longview police responded to the incident at 4:44 a.m. at a railroad crossing at 4000 Estes Parkway. The pickup collided with the train's engine, according to police, and the railroad crossing lights were on at the time.
Two people in the pickup sustained minor injuries from the crash.
The road was closed in both directions following the wreck, but reopened about two hours later.
