USA TODAY High School Sports announced its 2017 American Family Insurance All-USA Texas Football Team and East Texas had strong representation with six players receiving recognition.

Carthage's Keaontay Ingram and New Diana's TJ Rogers were first-team offensive selections, while Pine Tree's Gary Wiley and Arp's DeMarvion Overshown were named to the first-team defense. Linden-Kildare's Ty Patterson along with Sabine's Kobe Renfro garnered second-team defensive recognition.

All the honorees were chosen based on their athletic achievements this season.
