Tractors stolen in Gregg County located; officials seeking information

UPDATE: Gregg County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Josh Tubb said Wednesday afternoon that investigators had recovered the stolen tractors, but officials were still looking for information on the suspect or suspects who were responsible for stealing them. Tubb did not yet have details on how the tractors were recovered.
PREVIOUS: The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after two tractors were reported stolen early Tuesday on Old Highway 31 in Kilgore.
Deputies were called around 8:15 a.m. to the 300 block of Old Highway 31, after it was reported that someone had stolen two tractors out of two separate barns between 5:30 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The Sheriff’s Office described the first tractor as a two-wheel drive 1996 Massey Ferguson 362 with a Bush Hog brand front-end loader with dual hay forks, an extra-wide draw bar and a missing breather panel on the driver’s left side.
The second tractor is described as a four-wheel drive 2008 Kubota 9540, with a front-end loader with dual hay forks, an A-frame attachment on three-point hookup that has a hitch for bumper-pull trailers, a high ball for gooseneck trailers and a hydraulic bar for lifting.
