Police: Man looking for wife breaks into motel room

Feb. 16, 2017 at 11:47 p.m.

A husband looking for his wife broke into a man's room Wednesday at a Longview motel before punching him repeatedly, police said.

Myron Gould Price, 47, of Gladewater was held Thursday in the Gregg County Jail on $10,000 bond, charged with burglary of a habitation.

Officers who responded about 11 p.m. Wednesday to an unrelated call at the Budget Motel in the 500 block of West Marshall Avenue were there when the incident occurred, according to police.

Officers said Price knocked over the other man in his attempt to break in the room and then struck the man several times.

According to police, Price said his wife was inside the motel room, but there was no woman there.
