A Gilmer man was killed Friday in a wreck just east of the Longview city limits.
Justin Nolte, 29, was driving east on FM 1844 at 11:58 p.m., according to Texas Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Jean Dark, when his vehicle drifted into the westbound lane.
Nolte overcorrected, causing the vehicle to side skid into the east ditch and roll multiple times, Dark said.
Nolte was taken to Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, where he was later pronounced dead by Dr. Dustin McDermott. His body was taken to Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
