Letters on Obamacare, missing the News-Journal

Oct. 9, 2017 at 11:57 p.m.

Just you wait

I'm sure some are gloating because Obamacare hasn't bitten the dust yet. It will.

I recently learned something that is keeping it alive, barely.

While members of Congress and staffers are required by the law to purchase insurance through the exchanges, they receive subsidies that pay 72 percent of of the cost of their Obamacare premiums. They're already overpaid for doing little more than flapping their yaps and gouging us in our finances. Once again, the people we elected to protect our rights have betrayed us.

Ted Cruz lost my vote in August 2016 when I learned he's in the Illuminati. His joining others who promised to free us of Obamacare who are now on the gravy train indicates to me he, too, is on it.

John Cornyn, you have lost my vote by endorsing Cruz. Are you on the "Obamacare Gravy Train?" Pay your own premiums!

I don't know about Louie Gohmert. If I learn he's riding the gravy train, he will lose my vote.

Greater is He that is in me than he this is in the world! Obamacare is dead!

Missing things

I have been a subscriber several years, mainly because I have worked in Longview 43 years. I take the paper mostly for the obituaries, sad to say, but try to find information on ones going before me. In the time I have been with the paper hardly ever a week goes by where I get a paper every day. Right now I get two days' papers every other day.

You tend to miss things this way. As you editors are experts on what is wrong with my governor and president, maybe, just maybe if you could get back to the basics, I could get my copy of this liberal bird cage liner every day instead of two every other day. This was accomplished even before we had cars, or liberal folks. I can also do without, but I bet getting a refund would be tough.

P.S. I am a Louie fan too.
