Victor Boyd filed Thursday for re-election as Kilgore City Council Place 4 representative, City Clerk Deborah Dane announced.
Boyd, 53, is seeking his second term. The Martin Transport dispatcher has lived in Kilgore's Place 4 for more than five years.
Filing for the May 5 municipal election ends Feb. 16. Places 1, 3 and 4 on the City Council are up for election, though Boyd is the only person to have filed, Dane said.
Place 1 Councilwoman Merlyn Holmes and Place 4 Councilman Neal Barr have picked up filing applications but have not returned them to City Hall, Dane said.
Boyd is a Kilgore native and graduated from Kilgore High School in 1983 before a nine-year career in the U.S. Navy.
