ET Soccer Roundup: Hallsville girls shut out Greenville; Pine Tree boys fall to Mount Pleasant

GIRLS

HALLSVILLE 3, GREENVILLE 0: GREENVILLE — The Hallsville Ladycats rolled to a 3-0 win over Greenville on Wednesday in District 16-5A action.

Evan Hampton put Hallsville on the board early with the only goal it would need. Peyton Montgomery later scored on a free kick, and then helped put the game away with a corner kick that was taken and finished off by Maddie Floyd.

The Ladycats (7-1-2) are idle tonight and host Pine Tree on Tuesday.

BOYS

MOUNT PLEASANT 3, PINE TREE 2: Mount Pleasant held on for a 3-2 win over Pine Tree in District 16-5A soccer action.

Luke Yoder and Tito Gimenez scored for Pine Tree, which will visit Greenville tonight and host Hallsville on Tuesday.
