A Longview man was held Wednesday on $500,000 bond after police said he shot at a friend and stole his cellphone.
James Ray Braxton, 18, is charged with aggravated robbery and parole violations after the Monday shooting in the 600 block of West Radio Street.
Police said the friend was taken to a Longview hospital after officers found him lying in the road.
Braxton was arrested in January 2017 on charges of aggravated robbery, assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after police said he shot at and pistol-whipped a man who was trying to sell him marijuana.
Braxton, who was in high school at the time, pleaded guilty in December to attempted deadly conduct in that case and was sentenced to two years' probation and 96 hours of community service.
