Wiley College reopens campus radio station KBWC

Wiley College hosted a grand reopening for its campus radio station KBWC on July 23.

Wiley College’s campus radio station KBWC reopened last week.

The Marshall university’s station had gone silent when renovations began on the Fred T. Long Student Union Center several years ago.

After a $100,000 grant from the Marshall Economic Development Corp., the college was able to get the station back up and running.

The station at 91.1 FM plays a loop of mixed 1970s, ‘80s, and ‘90s music, along with gospel and rhythm and blues, but Wiley mass communication students soon will oversee production.
