A 35-year-old Carthage woman has been sentenced to 20 years in prison — the maximum allowable for her crime — after her deferred sentence in a robbery case was adjudicated.

Irish Shuntay Ware, 35, appeared before 123rd District Court Judge Leann Rafferty for sentencing after prosecutors filed a motion to adjudicate her previously deferred sentence in a robbery case, Panola County Criminal District Attorney Danny Buck Davidson said.

The prosecution told the judge that Ware had 16 previous felony convictions, 22 misdemeanor convictions and had criminally trespassed on 30 locations between 2007 and 2019.
