Trustees for Longview ISD will consider a plan for its charter schools following a public hearing Monday night.
The district partnered with nonprofit organization East Texas Advanced Academies in June to operate and manage several campuses. Board members voted Wednesday to expand the charter roster to seven of the district’s 13 schools.
The board also will consider approving a $100,000 grant from the Meadows Foundation for the East Texas Manufacturing Academy and other donations more than $5,000.
The meeting will start with a public hearing about the district’s financial integrity ratings at 6 p.m. Monday in the Education Support Center boardroom, 1301 E. Young St.
