Trinity School of Texas students, faculty and staff gathered Thursday in Macey Gymnasium on the Longview campus to mark the school’s 60th birthday.
The pep-rally style event included traditional school songs and Head of School Gary Whitwell cutting the cake.
Trinity School of Texas was founded in 1957 by the Trinity Episcopal Church as a private, co-educational day school for students through fifth grade, according to the school.
In 1984, the school initiated an expansion program that culminated in 1990 with the graduation of its first senior class.
The school on North Teague Street has 310 students in the 2017-18 school year.
