A recently approved $100,000 grant will help repair fencing at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport.

Tyler’s airport will receive another grant through the Federal Aviation Administration.

Tyler Pounds Regional Airport was awarded a $100,000 federal grant to rehabilitate 10,900 feet of perimeter fence to protect the safety of the airfield, U.S. Sen. John Cornyn announced Tuesday.

“Access to safe and efficient infrastructure is critical as so many Texans travel for work, leisure and visiting loved ones,” Cornyn said in a written statement.
