One Longview man is hospitalized and another man is in jail after a Saturday afternoon shooting that stemmed from a domestic dispute, police said.

Brendan Kyle Austin, 23, of Longview was booked into the Gregg County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Longview police were dispatched to a shooting call at 4:19 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Pine Tree and Tenneryville roads after they were told that a man had been shot and the suspect was still in the area, according to police.

Police located the victim, who was taken to Longview Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Officers also located and detained Austin.

His bond had not been set late Saturday.
