Three Longview 19-year-olds were arrested Thursday night on drug and weapons charges.
Jacobie Keishun Bowman, Rayshon Weston Lagarde and Jaqualyn Keeyun Randall were taken into custody after a traffic stop in the area of Ridglea Avenue and Electra Street, according to Longview police.
During the stop, officers smelled marijuana from inside the car. During a search of the vehicle, police found a bag containing marijuana and pills in the driver’s side floor. More narcotics were found in one of the suspect’s pockets, and three handguns were in the floor of the vehicle, police said.
Bowman was charged with possession of less than 28 grams of a controlled substance and possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana. He was released Friday from the Gregg County Jail on $4,500 bond. Bowman was a member of this past year’s Longview Lobo football state championship team.
Lagarde was charged with two counts of unlawful carrying of a weapon and theft of a firearm. He remained jailed Saturday on $100,000 bond.
Randall was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon, possession of less than 28 grams of a controlled substance and possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana. He was released from jail Friday on $41,000 bond. It was Randall’s fifth felony arrest since October.
“Longview police would like to remind citizens to be vigilant in keeping records of their personal items,” police said in a statement. “Snapping a quick photo of a serial number or personal item will help ensure that your property is returned to you once it is located.”
