Gregg County Sheriff’s investigators Monday continued to search for a masked man who held up a Liberty City bank Friday morning, sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Josh Tubb said.
"Investigators are still working with the information that we have," Tubb said. "We are still working with the FBI, as well."
Tubb has said the call came in to sheriff’s dispatch at 9:11 a.m. Friday for the robbery at First National Bank of Hughes Springs, at FM 1252 and Texas 135, in Liberty City.
The sheriff’s office released a blurry image from a bank surveillance camera that showed a man who appeared to be opening a black bag in front of a counter. Tubb said officials would try to release a clearer image of the suspect if one becomes available.
Tubb said the suspect is about 6 feet tall and possibly a white man. Tubb said the suspect ran into the woods after the robbery.
