LONGVIEW — Memorial services for Luticia (Lou) Henderson of Longview will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, Feb. 10th at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Visitation will precede the memorial service beginning at 9:00 AM. Graveside services will be held Monday, Feb. 12 at 11:00 AM in Dallas, TX. at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
Lou was born March 31, 1932, in Dallas. She grew up in Irving, Texas and graduated from Irving High School in 1949. She married Virgil Henderson, Jr. on July 1, 1951. Virgil was a career Marine involved in both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He, Lou, and their children lived in California from 1957 to 1968, when Virgil retired from the Marine Corps and they returned to Texas. They moved back to Longview in 1976.
Lou was a member of North Longview Baptist Church. Her life revolved around her church and her Christian friends. She was involved in the Nursing Home Ministries in the 80’s. She loved her Lord.
Lou requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to North Longview Baptist Church building fund.

Lou worked for the Texas Department of Protective Services and retired in 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Oran and Ella Hodges; Her daughter, Mary Lenoma Henderson, and her son, Roland (RC) Henderson. She is survived by one granddaughter, Tabatha Henderson; one sister, Christine Fisher and her husband, Gene, of Rockwall, TX.; two brothers-in-law, Jim D. Henderson and his wife Linda of Burleson, TX., Vernon Henderson and his wife Leah of Panama City, Panama; one sister-in-law, Paula Henderson of Fort Wort, TX.; And a number of nieces and nephews. She was blessed with three adopted daughters/friends: Irene McGah, Houston; Margaret Ballew, Abilene; and Beverly Mathews and her family, Dallas; and many, many other friends.
