Tiajuana graduated from Longview High School and took psychology and nursing courses at Kilgore Junior College, Tyler Junior College and University of Texas at Tyler. She married Mark Neel August 13, 1994 and shared twenty-five years together. She loved to read books and became a loyal member of the Pulpwood Queens Bookclubs. She retired from Verizon in 2017. Following retirement, she became the Executive Director of the International Pulpwood Queen Bookclubs. In 2018 she was the recipient of the Doug Mariette Award which is given to an individual for lifetime of supporting literacy.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Debbie Douglas, brother, Michael Anderson and son, Jason Goettle. Surviving in addition to husband, Mark, are her four children, Heather Goettle Vaughn and husband Travis of Longview, TX, Amanda Goettle Markham and husband John of Crossroads, TX, Michael Goettle and wife Alisha of Longview, TX and daughter Whitney Mariah McElroy and husband John of Longview, TX; nine grandchildren, Jordan Tramel, Hailey Valenti, Bubba Watson, Kayla Coppedge, Colton Goettle, Ian Goettle, Daisy McElroy, Gunner McElroy, Bentley McElroy and grandogs; Brother, Buddy Anderson, Sister-in-law, Kay Lindsey, two Aunts, Sue Hester and husband Eugene of Longview, TX and Bonnie Stephen; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, Longview, TX 76501. A service of remembrance will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Michael “Bubba” Watson, John McElroy, John Markham IV, Travis Vaughn, John Finney, J. W. Baker and Gary Roper. Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 5000 W. Harrison Rd, Longview, TX 75604.
