Rural broadband

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania is getting a big boost from the federal government to increase broadband access.

Gov. Tom Wolf announced $6.6 million in federal funds Thursday.

The money is coming from two federal programs, one to expand high-speed internet access, the other for computer training.

The governor's office says about 800,000 Pennsylvanians do not have access to broadband.
