Richard moved to Longview in the 4th Grade and was delighted when the hometown paper had a spot for him to move back after college. A 2008 graduate of Longview Christian School and 2012 Graduate of Lee University (Cleveland, Tennessee), Richard honed his craft with internships at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and the Religion News Service (Washington D.C.). He also ran the Lee Clarion, Lee University's student publication and was four-year member of Shenanigans, the school's improvisational comedy troupe. Richard has always loved stories and feels his life's goal is to communicate truth. In recent years, he has nurtured a passion for tabletop gaming, and has begun to work on the design of several games under the banner Raptor Games. Richard covers city governments for the News-Journal.
